Designer and Owner, Praha Jewelry Design

A former graphic designer by training, Tracey Navratil Krizek, designer and owner of Praha Jewelry Design, has designed exciting jewelry for several years. One of many artists from Hollin Hills (Alexandria, Virginia) Tracey’s studio is in her home. When not making or selling her wares, she can be found traveling to Europe purchasing one-of-a-kind beads for her next unique creations. She specializes in handcrafted Venetian Foil and Murano glass. She works with sterling silver and occasionally gold-filled pieces.

She began creating jewelry when she needed a necklace repaired. When a local jewelry store couldn’t help her, she purchased findings to make her own repairs. Soon, she was repairing jewelry for friends and family. From that auspicious start, she began crafting specialty jewelry and fell in love with handmade glass beads.

Tracey’s work is in Sterling Silver and 14K Gold-Fill and Vermeil with semi-precious gemstones, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals, Bali silver and internationally handcrafted beads. She sells her jewelry through wholesalers and specialty shops. During the summer she teaches jewelry making sessions to teens and adults.
